I have listened to The Pains of Being Pure at Heart S/T debut LP 6 times in a row - no joke - over the course of the past 36 hours. That *never* happens. This record is so, so good. Belle & Sebastian meets My Bloody Valentine is how I keep describing it. Incredible. Its just one of those albums that gets stuck in your head in a good way - the way you’re just thirsty for it and you scroll through your iPod and you’re like, “oh shit, I guess I’ll just listen to it again.” Not a lot of music does that for me.
Thanks for turning me on to it, Ruth!
